Stopping The Confusion & Getting The Job Done – Air Vantage 600x Plus

In the industrial sector, there is a widespread issue concerning the on-site utilization of auxiliary power supplies (240V/415V) from Welder Generators. One particularly vexing challenge for contractors is dealing with on-site auxiliary power supplies (240V/415V) from Engine Driven Welder Generators. These sites often focus on the use of 50Hz auxiliary power, which means contractors may need to make different modifications from one job to the next to meet each site's specific rules.

Contractors may be required to:

• Modify and install a lockup panel to ensure that the outlets are inaccessible.
• Remove the outlets from the machine entirely.
• Adjust outlets and power tool leads so that only site-approved 60Hz tools can be used.

This solution meets the requirements of each site through a simple Lockable 50/60Hz switch. The site supervisor can hold the padlock key to ensure compliance is maintained.

Here's how it works:

• If the site requires 50Hz only, switch or padlock into the 50Hz setting to obtain 50Hz auxiliary output for most welding and gouging operations.
• If the site doesn't allow auxiliary power, switch or padlock into the 60Hz setting to get full welding output and fully isolate auxiliaries.
• If there are no site-specific requirements, you can select the speed you need: 50Hz (1500rpm) or 60Hz (1800rpm). Choosing the lower speed reduces fuel consumption, engine noise, and wear.

The AV600X Plus also offers other factory-fitted options, including a Bash/Roll Frame with an integrated Spill Tray, a securely mounted 9kg Fire Extinguisher, Earthing Electrode, and several standard features, including:

These systems must adhere to multiple standards, including Australian Standards and Mining Safety & Inspection regulations. These standards categorize hazard levels from A to E, with E being the lowest level of control needed.

When selecting your machine, it's wise to opt for equipment with the lowest hazard level for safety reasons and to minimize inspection costs and downtime.
