Working on the Edge

Written by Honeywell | Aug 12, '21

In many work environments, edges at height are more common than you think. Look around any construction site and you’ll notice the many materials that make up the edges of a floor, roof or formwork. Falls over an edge are more hazardous than other falls, because the edge can sever or damage the lifeline which increases the force upon the worker as the fall is arrested.

Honeywell has recognised these hazards and taken the opportunity to introduce a new suite of Self Retracting Lifelines called the Turbolite Edge, Turbolite Extreme Edge, and Falcon Edge.

The Honeywell Turbolite Edge SRL range are compact, lightweight, durable SRLs that are simple to use and available in a multitude of configurations. They come in a range of lengths across cable and web options, and there’s a variety of connection options too.

Perfectly suited to your personal profile, the SLRs have the capacity to support user weights up to 140kg in all connections at foot-level and above. The cable leading edge units meet the most stringent safety standards: EN360 Type B, VG11 (Rev 08) edge tested.

The Honeywell Falcon Edge Self-Retracting Lifelines (SRL) offer versatility, reliability, and maximum safety, and are designed for performance in edge applications with an edge radius of ≥ 0,5mm. These lifelines provide protection when tasks require anchoring at foot level, and meet the most stringent safety standards, including EN360 Type B, VG11 (Rev 08). The Falcon Edge SRLs are perfectly suited to fit your personal profile, with the capacity to support user weights up to 136kg.
