A fragmented approach may also overlook the fact that each organisation, business unit and work site has distinct conditions, tasks and risk profiles.For workplace safety managers, the priority is to establish a practical heat stress management program that brings controls together, rather than relying on any single product or intervention. These include scheduling work to avoid the hottest part of the day, providing shaded areas for rest breaks and implementing a buddy system, so workers can look out for one another.
