3M SPEEDGLAS G5-01TW HEAVY DUTY PAPR WELDING HELMET

The 3M Speedglas Welding Helmet G5-01 TW has just launched in Australia!

Across the growing landscape of powered air respiratory welding helmets, 3M™ Speedglas™ is well established as the brand of choice for professional welders, and is setting the industry benchmark for vision, comfort, performance, and protection.

The new Speedglas™ G5-01TW with 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is a prime example of this all-round excellence, improving upon all the signature elements of its predecessors while introducing a host of new to world technology.

Welding Fumes are Carcinogenic

It’s now well known that welding fume is carcinogenic and action is required. To that end, the Speedglas G5-01TW is headlined by one of the world’s most popular welding respirators: the award-winning Adflo™ PAPR. Equipped to offer at least 50 times cleaner air* and protect against gases, vapours, and particles alike, this system is suitable for all the most common welding materials (aluminium, steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel etc.) across all common welding applications (MMA, TIG, GMAW, FCAW, SAW) in environments with good ventilation.

A New and Improved Version

The Speedglas™ G5-01 TW helmet effectively serves as a new and improved version of the hugely popular Speedglas 9100 FX Air. As such, the G5-01TW includes a larger True-View welding lens, a 15% larger flip-up grinding visor and 50% longer Adflo™ PAPR battery runtime (12 hours rather than 8). It is also worth noting these upgrades come at no added cost, with the G5-01 TW entering the market at the same price point as a 9100 FX Air.

New Technology

The G5-01 TW also has a stack of NEW technology to offer; from the ability to adjust airflow inside the helmet to a Bluetooth enabled welding lens and optional task light. See some of these new features in action below!
