You know the scenario. You’re on site, working under pressure. You’ll only meet the deadline if everything stays precisely on track. Then the worst happens.
A critical pipe springs a leak, and chaos erupts. You’re kilometres from the nearest services, or weeks away from the next scheduled shutdown. If you have Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages on hand – disaster averted. Rapp-it bandages can be applied for successful pipe repairs in just 30 minutes.
They are an emergency go-to for pretty much every Australian sector and industry with working pipes.

Rapp-it can help you avoid unscheduled shutdowns, saving tens of thousands of dollars in a single application. Rapp-it in action
A Rapp-it customer recently faced a live line repair at a busy Queensland coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP).
The problem
A 250mm pipe, with a 6mm wall, developed a crack while in use. The pipe contained an abrasive mixture of fine coal slurry, known to wear through polyurethane pipe spools. The line couldn’t be shut down due to operations running, with the pipe under low pressure (75 kPA).
The solution
The customer used Rapp-it RAP164 bandages (100mm x 4.8m) to repair the pipe. The outer packet was used to transport water to the application site. The pipe was prepared, and the wet bandage applied according to instructions.
The outcome
The customer was very pleased with the effectiveness of Rapp-it. “With the down day a month away, we needed a quick repair to save ourselves a mess. Rapp-it was easily applied, immediately stopped the leak and set in half and hour, even with the pipe under pressure. Rapt with the outcome!”
According to Michelle Hutchings, General Manager, Marine and Industrial Marketing, Rapp-it is the perfect choice for safety, productivity and cost-saving when disaster strikes. “Rapp-it bandages buy valuable time in an emergency, avoiding the need for costly unscheduled downtime while protecting worker health and safety.”
