The Emergency Pipe Repair System that Stops Leaks Instantly

Written by Rapp-it | Jul 14, '21

In the current challenging global environment, it is becoming increasingly important for mining and industrial companies to implement cost effective solutions for fixing leaking and damaged pipes.

Rapp-It is a quick action emergency pipe repair system that stops leaks instantly. It is simple to use, with no mixing or measuring required. Rapp-It has woven fibreglass substrate impregnated with a water activated polyurethane resin.

Pipe change-outs are an expensive and time-consuming undertaking. It is important for companies to be offered solutions that will be cost effective and demonstrate organisational resilience and agility in response to a quickly changing environment.

This year the company is celebrating thirty years of experience servicing the mining, processing, oil and gas, marine and industrial sectors, and understands the importance of providing a reliable, time and cost-effective repair product that significantly reduces downtime.

Over the past 30 years, the company has continually improved and refined Rapp-it and given priority to quality, product and service improvements to reach the world quality standard of today.

Our major developments include refining our product formulation, introducing a 90mm Steel Putty with every pack, obtaining approval for use with potable water.

Strict quality assurance procedures include testing in Australian University labs for pressure and temperature resistance, and management systems to guarantee quality and consistency as well as technical training.

Strengthened by a longstanding experience and superior reputation in the industry, the Rapp-it brand has become synonymous with quality and reliability amongst maintenance managers nation-wide.

As part of our continual improvements, our packaging has been recently modified to be GHS7 compliant. We are also currently working towards our ISO 9001/14001 certification which will be the recognition of the company’s hard work over 30 years.

Rapp-it offers five sizes, ranging from 50mm to 100mm wide and 3.6m to 9m long. Each repair kit also includes gloves and a 50mm stick of two part epoxy putty, which becomes active when kneaded. The putty is applied prior to the bandage into holes or cracks and results in a superior repair.

Rapp-it Bandages are effective on all types of rigid pipes, including poly, PVC, steel and concrete, withstanding heat up to 150° C and pressure up to 360 psi. Australian and New Zealand Potable Water Standards compliance is also a feature which enables the bandage to be safely applied on drinking water lines.
