Hydrogen fluoride (HF) is an extremely hazardous chemical. Yet it’s used in the manufacture of everything from refrigerants to pharmaceuticals and electronic components.

When dissolved in water, it’s known as hydrofluoric (HF) acid, which is highly corrosive.
