Give Your Feet More Love at Work with Oliver Footwear
Anyone working in construction and mining knows how tough it can be on the feet! Good protection and comfort are paramount for long shifts on rugged sites.
The Australian Podiatry Association (APA) says one of the best ways to protect your feet when doing trades work is to wear shoes that are properly fitted, have comfortable inners and cushioned soles, and provide good arch support.
Oliver Footwear has been producing safety work boots with these features for over 120 years.
Features of Oliver premium footwear
The company’s premium ranges (AT55, AT45, and PB49) are designed around safety, protection and wearability.
Innovative design features make them fit for purpose across different work environments. They meet or exceed Australian and relevant industry safety standards that are mandated on most job sites.
High-density rubber outsoles reduce the impact of walking on rocky or uneven terrain. The insoles cushion and conform to the contours of your feet, combining with the outsole to offer maximum comfort underfoot.

Choosing the right boot for the job
In addition to these universal features, each premium work boot has some unique characteristics designed for different applications.
This is the original Oliver steel-capped work safety boot. It was designed in conjunction with Australia’s mining industry to meet international safety standards. This ensures on-site compliance with safety codes as well as assurance of a tough and durable product.
At the same time, the boot is one of the lightest in the Oliver range. It features a NATUREform® Type 1 steel safety toe cap – which has a wider profile shape and latex padded cushion liner.
The series suits a range of tough industries – including construction, mining, oil & gas, steel, manufacturing, transport and agriculture.
The AT45 is the non-metallic version of the AT55 - the toecap is made from a composite material. The cap is over 40% lighter than the steel version but meets the same safety standards.
The AT45 series is suitable for the same industries as the AT55. However, it was designed with airport and FIFO workers in mind, to prevent setting-off airport metal detection equipment.
It also suits electrical work, since the boots’ insulation protects the wearer from electrical hazards and shocks.
This is the women’s work boot range. The series has been engineered specifically to suit the shape of a woman’s foot, rather than simply offering smaller-sized versions of men’s footwear.
The boots come with the same safety and comfort features as the AT55 and 45. Key features of the PB49 include a scalloped-out heel and enhanced flexibility.
As for the AT series, these boots suit a wide range of medium-heavy industries.
