Workers carrying out tasks in challenging conditions can’t afford to be left in the dark. Yet many standard headlamps and handheld torches can’t withstand the rigours of industrial worksites.
Plastic products are easily damaged. Single use batteries have limited run times and require regular replacement. Cheaper options can be unreliable. A high-quality, durable hands-free headlamp is the smart choice to help workers do their jobs safely and efficiently.
Ledlenser has combined German engineering and design principles with cutting-edge technology to develop a range of smart, hands-free LED headlamps. The headlamps are compact, lightweight and comfortable to wear, without putting strain on the neck.
The robust HF Work series can be used in mining, civil maintenance repair operations, utilities operations, transport, plus electrical, plumbing and boiler making trades.
The HF Work series includes three rechargeable models designed for harsh conditions, where workers need reliable, portable light for extended periods.
HF8R Work
Imagine workers on tunnelling projects or carrying out essential repairs at night, not needing to manually adjust their headlamps. Sound impossible? It’s not!
The HF8R is Ledlenser’s first headlamp that offers truly hands-free operation. Patent-pending adaptive light beam technology measures light, temperature and lamp performance 400 times per second, automatically transitioning the focus and brightness of the beam to flood, mid and spot lighting as needed. There’s also an SOS mode. The headlamp can be remotely controlled via the Ledlenser Connect App. Weighing 198 grams, it has 20 to 1600 lumens, with an effective range of 210 metres.
HF6R Work
The HF6R is a slim headlamp for regular industrial and trade applications. Manually transition from a wide flood beam to a focused high beam with a turn of the rotary focus wheel. Find the right setting the first time, even while wearing gloves. It also features a high colour rendering index for close-range work.
HF4R Work
The HF4R is a lightweight basic model for industry and trade. It has three brightness levels and a stepless tilting function that allows for seamless adjustment of beam direction. It weighs just 79 grams with batteries, and features 20-500 lumens and a range of 130 metres.
All the HF Work headlamps feature:
A high-quality, lightweight aluminium housing on the main body plus rubber lining helps protect against dust and other particles for greater durability. The headlamps have IP68 rated protection for submersion in water up to 1.5m deep for up to 30 minutes.
Rechargeable batteries last up to eight hours at mid-intensity. Check the handy battery status indicator and change power mode to conserve battery life. The magnetic charge system is simple, fast and avoids the need for bulky chargers. Just tap one end of the cable to the contact point on the bottom of the headlamp and recharge in about three hours, depending on the model.
While many headlamps have fixed beams, HF models have flood and spotlight modes. Light functions include power, mid power, low power and boost, for a short blast of maximum power.
The headlamps have a working temperature range of -20 to +40˚C and feature a temperature control system to prevent overheating. They have a memory function, so the headlamp starts in the last set mode. They also offer a back-up mode, which monitors the charge and switches to low-power emergency light when necessary.
Andrew Vaughan, Major Accounts and Business Development at Zen Imports, says Innovative technology enables a range of smart features that allow for greater versatility and ease of use. “The HR work series offers innovation with the end user needs in mind. You’re getting the newest innovation in portable lighting.”
