Hydac: End-to-End Hydraulics Solution Provider
HYDAC International is a world leader in motion control and fluid technology, operating in over 50 countries with over 9,000 employees and 500 sales and service partners worldwide.
HYDAC Australia offers an extensive service and product range to cover all areas of fluid power.
Products and systems on offer
Filter technology, accumulator technology, cooling and electronics products are available for the most part from stock.
The product range is rounded off by accessories, including ball valves, pipe clamps and accumulator clamps, to name a few.
“HYDAC systems and components can be found in all areas of industrial and mobile hydraulics. Our products are quality-made in Germany and engineered, manufactured, and tested under a quality system certified in accordance with ISO 9001 (2015 version), with HYDAC being one of the first companies in the country to be certified under this new version,” a HYDAC spokesperson comments.
The spokesperson adds that the certification and endorsement of HYDAC’s Quality System by SAI Global verifies that the company is “committed to quality and the processes leading to it”.
Extensive capability
HYDAC’s capabilities include on-site reliability audit programs, cleanliness solutions for oil and fuel, calibration services, engineering advice, bespoke design and drawings, hydraulic services, technical training, and predictive maintenance/Industry 4.0 solutions.HYDAC old hand at local design
When it comes to local hydraulic engineering design HYDAC excels at detailed drawings with linear and geometrical tolerances, welding symbols, surface symbols, and sectioned and detailed views with datum from 0.0 coordinates or from centreline. It also provides DXF files for laser machines and 3D models for 3D prototype prints and virtual reality to augmented reality special format files.
Local manufacture
HYDAC designs and builds systems in Australia with the latest technologies to bring international best practice to a local level.“In many cases the demands are very specific and involve customised, engineered solutions,” the spokesperson points out.
Warehouse automated handling solutions
HYDAC has installed space-saving vertical storage robots in its warehouse for reliable storage and retrieval solutions in the interests of efficient inventory management. The robots are 6.5m tall and have capacity for up to 5000 bin locations.
“This enables the team to quickly and efficiently categorise and manage stock on a first in, first out basis,” the spokesperson says.
Industries served
Industries that HYDAC services include agriculture, automotive, construction equipment, electromobility, lifting and materials handling, machine tools, mechanical and hydraulic press machines, and the oil and gas industry to name a few.“We design and supply one-stop, turnkey and tailor-made hydraulic control and drive systems, including electronic controls and regulators, for mobile and stationary machines and systems for use in these diverse industries. In so doing we rely on our many years of experience and engineering support both locally and globally,” the spokesperson says.
“When you order a fully operational hydraulic system from HYDAC, you'll receive the complete package from a single source, including hydraulic power pack, hydraulic actuators, hydraulic tools, lubrication systems, filtration and cooling systems, accumulator stations, nitrogen high-pressure systems, patented electro-hydraulic safety controls in compliance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 – SIL 3, complete analysis programs for electro-hydraulic controls, hydraulic controls in modular design, and pipe installation and commissioning on both hydraulic/electrical sides.”
With experience across all electrical areas, involving motor control, process control, automation, and AutoCAD, HYDAC is also specialised in hazardous area design and installation.
Tools for a seamless HYDAC experience
Tools on offer from HYDAC include a Tools app that provides information on fluid care and complicated calculation while an online store facilitates immediate online shopping as well as the more traditional methods of product purchase.“Some customers have a MyHYDAC account that provides many privileges, including a 'media library’ tab to access exclusive videos, technical information, and manuals,” the spokesperson says.
Wide array of technical training
The online, virtual reality and technical training courses offered by HYDAC are the only ones of their kind in the country. The recent launch of HYDAC’s mixed reality training, developed in collaboration with Deakin University and with the support of the Innovation Manufacturing CRC (IMCRC), teaches maintenance staff and trainees how to safely service and maintain hydraulics systems and components.
“This technical capability and product and system offering is matched by a dedicated team committed to customer satisfaction,” the spokesperson concludes.
