Not only does this feature deliver additional power when required on tougher jobs, but it increases the versatility and runtime of the equipment, too – allowing an 18V XR product to handle a host of different applications, and significantly enhancing the flexibility and productivity of the professional’s toolkit.
DEWALT has built XR FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE technology into five new high-specification products, which will be available from April 2021. Each model delivers the performance of corded combined with the freedom of cordless operation and is equipped with an electronic module that detects the presence of an XR FLEXVOLT battery, as well as an efficient, brushless, high-power density motor suitable for carrying out heavier applications.
DCS573 18V XR 184mm Circular Saw with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE
With a no-load speed of 5,800rpm, 64mm depth of cut, outstanding dust management features, tool-free depth adjustment and an electronic safety brake, this rugged circular saw delivers up to 77% more power* when paired with a FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery to tackle tough applications such as rip and bevel cuts and heavy-duty timber cutting.
DCD999 18V XR XRP Hammer Drill with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE
Engineered for speed and durability, the DCD999 incorporates an improved 3-speed transmission, a robust nitro-carburised 13mm metal chuck with carbide inserts, an extended side handle to manage high-torque applications, and a 3-mode LED spotlight. This versatile hammer drill operates with up to 42% more power* when using a FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery.
DCS386 18V XR Reciprocating Saw with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE
Offering up to 50% extra power* for cutting through difficult materials such as heavy-duty scaffold pipe, the DCS386 has been equipped with a crank type drive train for smoother, more efficient operation and reduced vibration, and delivers an impressive no-load speed of 3,000spm.
DCG416 18V XR 125mm Grinder with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE (paddle switch model)
