See Eye Protection Through A New Lens

Written by Bollé Safety | Jul 9, '21

What do miners, construction workers, and factory hands all have in common? At some point, they’re all required to wear eye protection. And it might come as no surprise that each distinct working environment requires a unique
lens technology to ensure workers can perform tasks safely.

For instance, engineers moving from warm environments to cool ones may need an anti-fog lens. Or a supervisor working on a construction site might need polarised lenses to help prevent light glare from hitting him/her directly in the eye and affecting their vision.

When it comes to the right eyewear for the right job, Bollé Safety has got all the bases covered. Not only do they have some of the most stylish designs on the market, but their safety range is specifically designed for harsh working conditions.

We caught up with Jack Hansen from Ready Workforce, who manages staff from a wide range of industries. “Some days I’ll have a crew working in the mines who spend all day going from darkness to full-on sunlight. If these guys don’t use the right eyewear, they could end up with serious damage.”

That’s why Bollé Safety has invested millions into creating products for the harshest environments – and their innovations have paved the way for stylish protective eyewear.

“It’s also really important to the team that eye protection isn’t ugly. The lads might get pretty grubby on the job, but they care about how they look. They can be a vain lot to tell you the truth,” laughs Hansen.

Thankfully, Bollé Safety has a legacy of stylish eyewear which they’ve been able to replicate in their safety range.

So what exactly do Bollé Safety offer in the way of protection? Their Platinum range has a permanent coating applied to both sides of the lens that’s highly scratch resistant and delays fogging.

The Comfort Sensitivity Perception (CSP) range is an effective solution for jobs that involve alternate exposure to bright light and low light, while also withstanding extreme temperature environments. And their Polarized technology is perfect for outdoor activities where there is a high risk of glare or reflections.

“Bollé Safety really have come to the party and helped protect my workforce without sacrificing on style. Some of my guys wouldn’t wear anything else,” Hansen concluded.

All of Bollé Safety’s eye protection innovations are designed to look after Australians who work in high risk occupations.
