Employers need to [identify](https://www.3m.com.au/3M/en_AU/safety-centers-of-expertise-au/respiratory-protection/respirator-selection/) the hazards unique to the workplace, implementing controls which may involve selecting the right respirator to filter out dusts, gases, moulds and other airborne dangers. But here’s the challenge: even the most effective respirator won’t be worn or worn for long if it’s too uncomfortable. Over time, heat, breathing resistance, or difficulty communicating can tempt workers to remove the device, completely undermining its purpose. ### **What sets the 3M™ Secure Click™ FF-800 series apart** This is where the [3M Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator FF-800](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/searchpage#q=03876752%2003876769%2003876786) series steps in, delivering robust, compliant respiratory protection, while addressing comfort and ease of use for workers. The FF-800 series help protect workers from particulates and a wide variety of gases and vapours when used with the appropriate 3M™ Secure Click™ filters and cartridges. Here’s what makes the series stand out. ### **Workers breathe easier with quad flow technology** The majority of [3M™ Secure Click™ filters](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-filter-a1b1e1k1-d8059-uu009288406/p/00313586)have unique quad flow technology, made possible by two dual-flow cartridges. With four air intake paths, it increases the surface area for airflow, making breathing easier and helping reduce fatigue - a game changer for extended use. An exhalation valve also directs breath and moisture downward, helping to keep vision clear and reduce uncomfortable heat build-up. ### **Silicone seal offers a softer fit to the face** The silicone face seal delivers a softer fit on the face. The head cradle uses quick-adjust buckles - workers can simply pull the straps to tighten or squeeze the buckles to release, making it easy to achieve a secure fit on the go. Crafted from advanced silicone, the respirator offers not just exceptional comfort, but the durability to stand up to daily use in demanding environments. [The 3M™ Secure Click™ FF-800 series](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/searchpage#q=03876752%2003876769%2003876786) can also accommodate prescription lenses with the 102 Universal Spectacle kit. ### **Quick one-touch checks for correct wear** With 3M’s Secure Click™, filter changes are simple and secure. Workers align the connections and push until they hear a reassuring “click” (much like a seatbelt) that confirms the cartridge and filter are correctly in place. An easy, one-touch seal check button helps provide increased worker confidence that the respirator is being worn properly. ### **Wide field of vision** The large lens which helps provide a wide and clear view and allows for better peripheral vision. It can also accommodate prescription lenses with the 102 Universal Spectacle kit. ### **Easy communication** A speaking diaphragm to make it easier to communicate, without removing the device. The 3M™ Secure Click™series comes in a range of sizes and filter types, and complies with AS1716, ensuring it meets safety and performance standards. ### **Designed for a range of industries and tasks** From metal working, mining and heavy manufacturing to oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, construction, transportation and agriculture, the [3M™ Secure Click™ FF-800](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/searchpage#q=03876752%2003876769%2003876786)series is designed for versatility across industries. It’s suitable for a range of tasks such as grinding, machining, chiselling, chipping, sanding, sawing, painting, pouring/casting, chemical handling, masonry, chemical handling, furnace operations and more. ### **Getting the most out of the respirator** Mark Reggers, Certified Occupational Hygienist at 3M, says it’s important to change the filters regularly, according to a determined filter change schedule or when workers start to notice breathing resistance for particulate filters. Users should also undergo an annual fit-test, which Mark points out has been a compulsory requirement of the Australian standards for many decades. Wearers must also be clean shaven to wear any tight-fitting respirator, such as the 3M™ Secure Click™FF-800, as facial hair can interfere with the seal. ### Why it matters? Mark says the 3M™ Secure Click™ FF-800 series’ combination of unique features was created with the worker in mind. > *“When you combine all the unique features, this innovative respirator really is a great way for employers to keep workers protected,”* he says. *“A lot of science and innovation has gone into developing the product, it’s not just another full face respirator. If your workers are wearing respirators for any extended period, doing a physical task, comfort makes a huge difference.”* As Australia’s largest provider of industrial and safety equipment, Blackwoods has all your job requirements covered.  [![00313637-1](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hubfs/00313637-1.jpg)](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-half-mask-respirator-hf-801sd-black-s/p/00313637) [**[3M Half Mask Respirator](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-half-mask-respirator-hf-801sd-black-s/p/00313637)**](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-half-mask-respirator-hf-801sd-black-s/p/00313637) [![00313603 b](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hubfs/00313603%20b.jpg)](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-filter-d8051-a1-uu009286772/p/00313603) [**[3M A1 Filter](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-filter-d8051-a1-uu009286772/p/00313603)**](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-filter-d8051-a1-uu009286772/p/00313603) [![00313688](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hubfs/00313688.jpg)](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-secure-click-particulate-filter-d3125-pack-of-2/p/00313688) [**[3M Secure Click](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-secure-click-particulate-filter-d3125-pack-of-2/p/00313688)**](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/respiratory-protection/respirators-half-full-face-reusable/half-face-reusable-respirator-hf-800-series-3m-secure-click/3m-secure-click-particulate-filter-d3125-pack-of-2/p/00313688)   [SHOP 3M](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/3m/b/557642/brand) [![3m logo](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/3m%20logo.png?width=250&height=131&name=3m%20logo.png)](https://www.blackwoods.com.au/3m/b/557642/brand)     [Mining](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/tag/mining) [Construction](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/tag/construction) - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ## **Read related articles** [![Safety goggles that protect - and fit comfortably](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hubfs/SS%203M.png)](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/safety-goggles-that-protect-and-fit-comfortably) #### [Safety goggles that protect - and fit comfortably](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/safety-goggles-that-protect-and-fit-comfortably) ![Picture of 3M](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/3mlogo.jpg?width=30&name=3mlogo.jpg) [3M](https://blog.blackwoods.com.au/author/3m) : 29 September 2026 From mining and construction to manufacturing and metalwork, it’s a scenario that tests Australian industry all too often - uncomfortable or poorly...
